• Reims' seven-match winless run in Ligue 1 (L1) (D2, L5) finally came to an end when they beat Montpellier 4-0 last time out in what was not only their first win of the campaign but also their highest peak. Flight victory in club history! That result also maintained a recent trend, as the first goal came within the first 20 minutes of Reims' last five league games.
• However, despite the emphatic victory, scoring has been an issue for Reims at home, and they have subsequently scored under 1,5 goals per team in 14 of their last 15 home league games (G4, L6, L5). These offensive problems, which are in part responsible for three consecutive home defeats in L1, now have 'Les Rouges et Blancs' on the verge of an unfortunate new record, as they have never lost four consecutive home games in the top category.
• With Strasbourg traveling here, expect a winner as they are one of only three L1 teams yet to draw (W2, L6). However, a 3-0 away win in their last outing in Division One was noteworthy as their last four league games have now seen the victorious team of the day take over HT's lead.
• A repeat of that victory will require a good start, as Strasbourg have won just one of their last 34 away league games, in which they conceded first (W1, D7, L26). They have clearly been working on defensive solidity from the start, having kept a first-half clean sheet in three of L1's four away trips this term.
• Players to watch: Boulaye Dia made history for the last time by becoming the first Reims player to score 3+ goals in a L1 match since Santiago Santamaría in 1978.
• Ludovic Ajorque (STR) was the game's top scorer in his two away games this season.
• Winning streak: one penalty awarded in Strasbourg's last five away games in L1.
