Now it's official: Michael Schumacher's son will start his career in Formula 1 in 2024. On Wednesday morning, Haas announced that Mick Schumacher will be one of the drivers of the American team for the 2024 season.
At the age of 21, Mick comes from Formula 2. Leader of the season with 205 points, he has a 14-point lead over second-placed Briton Callun Ilot. To keep the title, the German (Prema Racing) just needs to get ahead of his opponent (Virtuosi Racing) in the other races, both to be held next weekend in Bahrain.

Mick will be the sixth son of a world champion looking to repeat his father's F1 footsteps. In addition to Michael Schumacher's son, the category featured Keke and Nico Rosberg, Graham and Damon Hill, Nelson Piquet and Nelson Piquet Jr., Jack and David Brabham and Mario and Michael Andretti.
