The start of the new championship season comes at a not very good time for either of these two teams. Both QPR and Nottingham Forest lost their last two games before that, which certainly took a toll on team spirit.
Forest fans will be hoping to see no less than a second consecutive playoff appearance after being knocked out in the semi-finals last season. The visitors are favorites to win, with odds currently at 2,40.
QPR were one of the most interesting teams to watch last season, especially at this stadium. Interestingly, they scored 42 and conceded 42 goals in London last season.

These two opponents have a long history when it comes to H2H matches. There have been 58 matches in the past and Nottingham are dominating the stats. Forest won 27 games and lost 13.
The vast majority of these victories came during Nottingham's heyday in the 1980s, when they went on to become European champions.

Local manager Mark Warburton used a somewhat mixed line-up for the League Cup game against Plymouth Argyle last week.
QPR lost the game 3-2, and both goals were scored by wingers Kakay and Manning. Fans were not happy with the sale of Eberechi Eze, last season's top scorer, who was sold to Crystal Palace.
Prior to the match, QPR lost to Oxford United in a friendly match.
Nottingham management decided to go a different route and retain top players. Lewis Grabban was third top scorer in the league last season and has gone nowhere.
Forest played just one game (zero friendlies) and lost to Barnsley in the League Cup. Even so, we think they should take advantage of QPR's crisis and win the match.
